What is Your Food Agent?
Your Food Agent is a meal planner for families that your own AI agent runs. Your agent plans the week’s meals, builds the shopping list and logs what you ate. You see the plan, the household cookbook and approximate nutrition by day and week.
Do I need an AI agent? Which ones work?
For now, yes. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Hermes, OpenClaw and other agents that can call an API. The beta is invite-only: ask to join the beta.
How does my agent connect?
During the invite-only beta, we set up the connection with you when you join. Your agent gets a one-time pairing code, swaps it for its own access key, and then uses the app’s API on your behalf, with limited permissions. To disconnect your agent, email hello@yourfoodagent.com and we revoke its access.
What can my agent do, and what can’t it do?
It can plan meals, build the shopping list, log meals and work with your recipes. It can’t see other household members’ private food logs, manage members, or export all your data.
Is it for the whole family?
Yes. The household shares one meal plan, one shopping list and one cookbook. Each person’s food log stays private to them.
How accurate is the nutrition?
It is an estimate, often a range, not a measurement. When something isn’t known, the app shows it as unknown instead of guessing. It is not medical advice.
Do I have to weigh my food?
No. Give grams if you have them; otherwise an approximate portion, such as “a bowl” or “half a plate”, is enough.
Can I keep my own recipes?
Yes. Your recipes go into your household’s cookbook, where you and your agent can plan meals from them.
What does it cost?
If you already use your own AI agent, connecting it to Your Food Agent is free. A version for people without their own agent is coming; it will be paid, because we cover the AI costs for you. Join the wait-list to hear first.
Where is my data, and how do I delete it?
The privacy policy explains what we store and where. To delete your account, email privacy@yourfoodagent.com and we delete your account and data within 30 days.
I don’t have an AI agent. Can I still use it?
Not yet. Join the wait-list and we’ll let you know when Your Food Agent works without one.
